Mindy Kaling will soon welcome her first child, but until then, she’s getting in some me-time. The Mindy Project creator and star stepped out in Los Angeles on Wednesday for a trip to the nail salon.

The pregnant actress dressed her baby bump in a ban.do “Bonjour” graphic short-sleeve sweatshirt ($72; macys.com) for the occasion. She paired the top with dark skinny jeans, Adidas slides ($45; urbanoutfitters.com), and a black chain-strap purse. The mom-to-be slipped on a pair of shades and pulled her hair back into a low ponytail for the low-key outing.

While Kaling has been relatively quiet on social media since announcing her first pregnancy, she did post a picture of her growing baby bump to Instagram in early November. “How I look recording Mindy Lahiri’s lines. ‘Exsqueeze me, sir?!?!’ she joked in the caption.

“I’d like to be the fun mom, I know I’m gonna be the dorky mom,” she confessed to Willie Geist on Sunday Today. “So if I can be kind of fun too, I think that would be nice.”

“[Motherhood is] so unknown to me,” she said. “I have a lot of control over a lot of aspects of my life, and this is one where I’m like, ‘OK, it’s out of my hands,’ which is kind of a fun feeling.”
