A total of 71 transfers in a bureaucratic career spanning over 34 years, IAS Pradeep Kasni has seen every corner of Haryana as his journey as a bureaucrat just ended. But, honesty comes at the price often so high that most people end up losing everything. Kasni, however, did otherwise and remained resilient throughout his career.

He paid the price for it. He had to serve at a post that didn’t exist. And since the post didn’t exist, he didn’t get the salary and other dues before he knocked the doors of the court and asked for his livelihood. After court’s intervention, Kasni received his salary for the last six months, just a few days before his retirement.
