— There are conflicting reports as to whether Samoa Joe has signed a new TNA contract or not. Samoa Joe’s TNA contract was set to expire in June 2008. Joe was offered a contract extension last year but turned it down. Mike Johnson of Pro Wrestling Insider has confirmed with TNA sources that Joe is “locked up, long term” – through 2010 or 2011. Contrary to those reports, Jason Powell of prowrestling.net reports that Joe has NOT signed a new contract and that both sides “hope to have everything worked out within the next couple of weeks.” We’ll keep you updated as new details become available.
