We're just spit-balling here, but it seems likely that finding out you've just scored the title role in a superhero franchise might be the best news an actor can ever get. So, how did Spider-Man: Far From Home star Tom Holland find out he was going to be Peter Parker? He saw it on Instagram.

It's true. But, as the actor explains in the latest WIRED Autocomplete Interview, he wasn't certain the news was real at first. He had already thought he'd lost the part, and Sony Pictures—the studio that made the announcement—had recently been hacked. "[My brother Harry] was like, 'Dude, there’s no way that’s true,'" Holland says. "Then, [Marvel Studios head] Kevin Feige called me and he said, 'I've got some great news, you're going to be Spider-Man.' And I was like, 'I have to be honest, Kevin. I already know. You put it on Instagram.'"
The rest is comic book movie history. Now, after Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and two Avengers films, Holland is putting on the web-slinger’s spandex in a fifth movie with this weekend’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. Find out more what he—and his Far From Home costars Zendaya (Michelle Jones) and Jacob Batalon (Ned)—know about Spidey, and each other, in the video above.
