Pumpkin Spice Latte, meet your match.
Everyone is trying to get their hands on Starbucks’ new Mocha Swirl Cold Cup Tumbler. Problem is, the reusable tortoiseshell-pattern cup is tough to come by.
The Instagram-worthy brown and black Pumpkin Spice Latte vessel is so popular that it keeps selling out, Today reported. The cold beverage cup comes in two sizes, a 16-ounce that originally retailed for $13.95, and a 24-ounce size, which was sold for $16.95.
However, the trendy tumbler is now being hawked on resale sites like Amazon and Poshmark for up to three times the original price. A reseller on Poshmark listed a 16-ounce cup for $90 but later discounted the “classy and chic” tumbler to $45. A tumbler and steel bottle duo has even reached a whopping $77 on eBay since going viral.
Starbucks did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The tortoiseshell tumbler was first released earlier this spring, but has grown in popularity on social media recently. Instagram users have been pairing the cup with matching tortoiseshell manicures, nail art’s latest craze for fall.
The cup has also become a hot commodity for bragging rights. “Is it bad that I was pleased by the fact that two teenage girls were visibly jealous of my tortoiseshell reusable Starbucks cup?” wrote one Twitter user.
“I finally got the tortoiseshell Starbucks cup I’ve been wanting for months and I think this is why white girls seem so happy,” another wrote.
The tortoiseshell cup might not be ideal for a PSL since it’s meant for the cold beverage variety, but it’s a perfect companion for the newest iteration of Starbucks’ infamous drink, the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew.
This reusable cup isn’t the first tumbler to go viral. Delish reports that a color-changing cup was all the rage earlier this year and a fight even broke out over a limited-edition cup shaped like a cat’s paw in China.
