MSN.com is reporting that 48-year old Luc Vu has been arrested and charged in the death of New York independent wrestler Matt Travis (real name Matthew Palacios). Palacios, 25, was struck by a Kenworth garbage truck while riding his bike in East Harlem, and was later pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital.

Vu has been charged with reckless driving, failure to yield to a bicyclist, failure to obey a traffic device, drive left of pavement marking, an failure to exercise due care. Vu allegedly made an illegal left turn, striking Palacios on his bike.

Palacios’s death was met with an outpouring of support from the independent wrestling world.
