Trump offers cryptic detail after Mike Pence cancels New Hampshire trip

President Trump on Friday added to the mystery of his vice president’s sudden cancellation of a trip to New Hampshire on Tuesday.

“You’ll know in about two weeks. It was a very interesting problem that they had in New Hampshire. I can’t tell you about it,” the president cryptically replied when asked about the cancellation.

“It had nothing to do with the White House. There was a problem up there and I won’t go into what the problem was, but you’ll see in about a week or two.”

Conflicting reports surfaced about what had happened, but no specific reason was cited.

About an hour before Pence was to due arrive at the airport in Manchester, Randy Gentry, a rep for the veep, told the crowd at the Granite Recovery Centers headquarters that he wasn’t coming.

Vice President Mike Pence abruptly canceled a scheduled event in…

“We’re going to cancel today’s event. It does not mean we’re not going to come back, but we do have a situation where the vice president was recalled back to Washington, DC,” he said, the Union Leader reported.

Later, Pence spokeswoman Alyssa Farah tweeted that Pence never left DC, contradicting the earlier statement that his plane had turned around and headed back to the capital.
