Two big matches announced for NXT Takeover, including Aries vs. Nakamura

WWE announced two big matches for the “NXT Takeover” special on this week’s NXT episode, taped last Thursday at Full Sail University in Florida.

The match is not officially a #1 contender match to the NXT Title, but the basis of the match is both wrestlers wanting an NXT Title shot down the road.

– Asuka will defend the Women’s Title against Nia Jax at Takeover. Jax beat Carmella and Alexa Bliss in a three-way #1 contender match in the main event of this week’s NXT show.

Bayley, who lost the NXT Women’s Title to Asuka, was not part of the #1 contender match. WWE played up an injury angle excluding Bayley from the title shot.
