Two matches announced for next week's WWE SmackDown

– On next week’s SmackDown, Commander Azeez will wrestle for the first time since becoming Apollo Crews’ bodyguard.

Kevin Owens & Big E will face Crews & Commander Azeez in a tag team match on SmackDown next Friday. The match was announced after Owens & Big E defeated Crews & Sami Zayn on tonight’s SmackDown. Owens pinned Zayn to win the match.

Crews got on the microphone after tonight’s tag match and said that he only lost because he had to team with Zayn. Crews then challenged Owens & Big E to face him and Azeez next week.

Commander Azeez, whose real name is Babatunde Aiyegbusi, debuted in his current role when he helped Crews win the Intercontinental title from Big E in a Nigerian Drum Fight at WrestleMania 37 this April. Azeez formerly used the names Dabba-Kato and Babatunde.

Crews retained his Intercontinental title against Owens on SmackDown last week. The match had a stipulation where Azeez was banned from ringside, but Azeez instead attacked Owens backstage before the match.

– Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin will also take place on SmackDown next Friday. Possession of Corbin’s crown will be on the line in the match.

Nakamura and Corbin are 2-2 against each other in recent weeks. After Nakamura defeated Corbin on tonight’s SmackDown, Corbin went to authority figures Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville and wanted them to make Nakamura return his crown to him. They instead decided to have Nakamura put the crown on the line against Corbin on next week’s SmackDown. Pearce said they could call it “The Battle for the Crown.”

Next Friday’s SmackDown is the go-home show for Hell in a Cell.
