Following last night’s WWE Royal Rumble 2018 pay-per-view, new WWE signee “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey spoke with ESPN.
During the interview, Rousey claimed that WWE is her life now. “They have first priority on my time for the next several years,”‘ she said. “This is not a smash and grab, this is not a publicity stunt.”
Rousey also spoke about her negotiations with Paul “Triple H” Levesque leading up to her inking her first official WWE contract.
“When I first met with Triple H, I told him that there are other things I can do with my time that will make way more money that I won’t enjoy nearly as much,” said Rousey. “I think the only thing that money gets you is the freedom to choose how you spend your time and who you spend your time with. I don’t want to just be constantly stuck in that trying to make money just for the sake of making money.”
While WWE is her life now, Rousey didn’t rule out the possibility of returning to the Octagon to fight in the UFC again at some point in the future.
“I wouldn’t doubt myself doing anything,” said Rousey regarding a potential Octagon return.
