Vince On Shane's Role In WWE, Several Injured Stars Returning In The Next Month

On WWE’s first-quarter 2016 earnings conference call, Vince McMahon confirmed that Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, Seth Rollins and John Cena are all scheduled to return to action soon. The WWE Chairman says all four men are expected to be back in the ring full-time in the next month.

McMahon also noted that 13 wrestlers have been called up to the main roster. He says there will be more new talent called up soon.

Cena’s return on the May 30th episode of RAW has been heavily promoted on WWE TV this month. He’s been out of action with a shoulder injury. Orton’s been out of action after also suffering a shoulder injury several months ago. Rollins underwent surgery on his ACL, MCL and medial meniscus in his right knee in November. Rollins started training again back in March.

Vince also clarified his son Shane’s role in the company for shareholders. “Shane has come back as a talent,” Vince said when asked. The Chairman said his son and the storyline are both doing “extremely well.”
