– The dark main event after Tuesday’s night’s WWE SmackDown tapings saw John Cena defeat Cody Rhodes and Big Show in a handicap match. Cody was filling in for John Laurinaitis, who was advertised as Big Show’s partner.

Laurinaitis came out after the match and tried to attack Cena, but Cena blocked it. He as about to give Laurinaitis an Attitude Adjustment, but put him down and announced to the crowd that it was Laurinaitis’ birthday. Cena and the crowd sang Happy Birthday to him.

Cena then blindfolded Laurinaitis as a birthday cake was brought out from under the ring. Cena then threw the cake in his face. He tried attacking Cena again with the chair, but caught an Attitude Adjustment instead.

– Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown drew a 1.92 cable rating with 2.8 million viewers.
