— As reported yesterday, WWE released SmackDown wrestler Ryan Braddock a few days ago. His profile was quietly removed from the website this morning, which should confirm his departure from the organization. WWE did not even bother to announce his release.
— In an apparent cost-cutting move, it looks like WWE is cutting down on flying in wrestlers they have absolutely no plans for at specific television tapings. Often times, active talents are brought in regardless if they’re scheduled to be used or not. According to the roster sheet for this past Monday’s edition of Raw (which has leaked online), a number of wrestlers were not brought to last week’s show in Boston including both members of Cryme Tyme — Shad & JTG, Charlie Haas, Dolph Ziggler, Sim Snuka (whose adopted father appeared at the show), Candice Michelle and Jamie Noble. On the roster sheet, the missing Raw talents were specifically listed as “NOT AT TV.”
— According to the NBC television affiliate based out of Albany, Georgia, over 7,300 fans were in attendance at Saturday might’s SmackDown brand house show in Augusta. This is the biggest crowd WWE has ever drawn in the city. World Championship Wrestling previously held the attendance records with two pay-per-views in the early 1990s (Great American Bash ’92 and SuperBrawl IV in 1994).
