The partnership between Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher came to an end on last night’s NXT.
Four weeks after Thatcher debuted as Riddle’s temporary partner, they lost the NXT Tag Team titles to Imperium’s Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner last night. Thatcher walked out on Riddle during the match after getting mad when Riddle accidentally monkey flipped Barthel into him. Riddle tried to take on Imperium on his own, but Barthel & Aichner won the titles after hitting the European Bomb.
Thatcher was interviewed after walking out on Riddle. He called out Riddle for being too focused on doing game shows and throwing his flip flops. After Riddle then confronted Thatcher, they got into a brawl and had to be separated by officials.
That led to Riddle and Thatcher facing off in the main event. Riddle managed to pin Thatcher and get the win, but Thatcher attacked him after the match and put him in the Fujiwara armbar twice.
