Last night’s Royal Rumble go-home edition of Raw averaged 1.82 million viewers overall and drew a 0.52 rating in 18-49.

The show finished first in the demo in 18-49, males 18-49, 18-34, women 12-34, and males 12-34, while finishing fourth in women 18-49.

Raw finished 23rd overall in viewership, behind 22 news shows.

The show was down two percent from last week in total viewers and down 13 percent in 18-49, but was even from last week in 18-34.

As compared to one year ago, that would be misleading. The Royal Rumble was one week earlier in 2020, so the Raw episode this time last year was the day after the Rumble, which is usually among the highest rated Raws of the year. But this week was down 24 percent in viewers, 32 percent in 18-49, and 43 percent in 18-34 from that show.

The first to third hour drop was 10 percent, less than the past few weeks, so the show built around Asuka vs. Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship as the pushed main event held up better than usual. The drops were 29 percent in women 18-49, 11 percent in men 18-49, teenage girls were up 14 percent, teenage boys stayed even, and people over 50 dropped 10 percent. Essentially there was something that had an unusually negative reaction to women 18-49, and was offset by a very positive reaction by teenage girls, and the rest was normal.

The closest entertainment competition, Bravo’s Below Deck, averaged 1.55 million viewers overall and did a 0.47 rating in 18-49.
