With less than two weeks to go until he’s involved in the triple threat match for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble, there was a multi-segment storyline on Raw last night where Braun Strowman was fired and rehired.

Kurt Angle opened the show and “fired” Strowman for tearing part of the stage down onto Lesnar and Kane last Monday. That caused Strowman to go on a rampage, with him wreaking havoc backstage and destroying the TV production truck. Even after Angle informed him that Stephanie McMahon said he wasn’t fired anymore, Strowman threw Michael Cole off the stage and onto a bunch of security people.

Also on Raw, Seth Rollins brought back the Curb Stomp as he defeated Finn Balor in the main event, Asuka vs. Nia Jax ended in a referee stoppage, and Paige was officially removed from the upcoming women’s Royal Rumble match. Paige’s long-term future past the Rumble wasn’t addressed.
