– Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown averaged 2.04 million viewers on Fox, up 4.9 percent from the previous week. It’s the best number for the show since May 7 and is the first time since that date that SmackDown’s viewership has gone above two million viewers.

The episode was headlined by Roman Reigns defending his Universal Championship against Rey Mysterio in a Hell in a Cell match. The match was originally scheduled for Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view but was moved up to SmackDown.

SmackDown drew a 0.54 rating in the 18-49 demo, up 12.5 percent from the previous week. That’s also the show’s best number since May 7. It matched SmackDown’s second-highest demo number since WrestleMania.

Year-over-year, SmackDown was up eight percent in the 18-49 demo but down 1.5 percent in overall viewers.

– AEW Dynamite, which aired on Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern time, averaged 551,000 viewers on TNT. That’s up 13.1 percent from the previous week and is the best viewership number the show has done in its Friday night run.

In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite drew a 0.20 rating, up 5.3 percent from the previous week. That matched the May 28 Dynamite episode (the Double or Nothing go-home show) for the best number Dynamite has done in the demo on Friday nights.

Year-over-year, Dynamite was down 28.6 percent in viewership and down the exact same percentage in the demo. Of course, that’s comparing to a week when Dynamite aired in its regular Wednesday night time slot but was also going head-to-head with NXT.

Dynamite will air on Saturday night this week before returning to Wednesdays next week. The show has been airing out of its normal time slot due to scheduling conflicts with the NBA playoffs.

Here’s a look at the last 11 weeks of SmackDown and Dynamite ratings, along with the 10-week averages prior to this past Friday’s episodes:
