WWE’s blue brand runs the Ford Center Evansville in Evansville, Indiana this evening, as WWE Friday Night SmackDown returns with this week’s episode.

Featured below are complete results of the Friday, January 10, 2020 episode of WWE SmackDown.

WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS (1/10): EVANSVILLE, IN.

After the opening video, Michael Cole, who is joined by Corey Graves, welcomes us inside the Ford Center in Evnasville, Indiana for this week’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

From there, we shoot right to the ring where The Miz makes his way out for the advertised special edition of MizTV. We are shown video of Miz attacking Kofi Kingston after their match last week, and how John Morrison later appeared in a backstage segment in his official WWE return.

The Miz finally starts talking, as the fans in Evansville greet him with boos. He claims last week he was just having a bad day as a way of explaining his aforementioned actions. He apologizes to The New Day member as the fans boo some more. The Miz claims to have gone through a lot lately. He mentions “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt messing with his family.

Finally, The Miz welcomes his special guest for this installment of MizTV — none other than his former tag-team partner John Morrison! Morrison’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring as the fans break out into a loud “Welcome Back! Welcome Back!” chant.

The Miz formally introduces the WWE Universe to his former tag-team partner. He admits he uses this phrase a lot but claims this time it’s legitimate, because John Morrison being back in WWE on MizTV is “truly awesome.”

Miz brings up some of John Morrison’s past accomplishments and standout moments from his past run in WWE. A video package that Miz introduces as a “Sizzle Reel” is shown featuring highlights of Morrison, who they are still referring to as “The Shaman of Sexy.”

The Miz gives Morrison what he describes as a heartfelt “welcome back” to Morrison. Morrison finally takes to the microphone to do some verbalizing of his own here on WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

Morrison informs us that WWE has been filming a documentary around his comeback. He jokes about how he had big plans for his return at the WWE Royal Rumble and noted it would’ve been epic, but after they had a talk on WWE’s The Bump a couple of weeks ago, he felt it was more important to be there for his friend.

He says he came to SmackDown last week but after what happened with Kofi Kingston, he realized he’s disappointed … in the fans. The fans boo.

The Miz then talks about how his friend had a bad day once, leading to a “You Suck” chant from the WWE Universe in attendance. Morrison says Miz worked harder than anyone on the WWE roster for 15 years, leading to a run as WWE Champion that no one thought would happen or last.

Morrison then talks about how the fans wouldn’t last if they had to get inside the squared circle themselves. This leads to him poking fun at some of the fans in the front row inside the Ford Center in Evansville this evening.

Finally, The New Day’s music hits and out comes the WWE SmackDown Tag-Team Champions — Kofi Kingston and Big E. Kingston gets on the mic and asks The Miz who he is trying to fool. They don’t buy Miz’s apology, sharing their belief that he is a bad actor. Kofi says he would have respected Miz more if he had just admitted he had a bad day last week. He says everyone has been there and can relate and that it would have been a respectable explanation. What he chose to say instead, was not.

The Miz then takes some shots at Kofi Kingston’s reign as WWE Champion and how fast he lost his championship in his title defense against Brock Lesnar. The Miz says he doesn’t respect Kofi. Kofi sarcastically tries defending his ultra-fast title loss to “The Beast Incarnate” before claiming The Miz is changing from “Cool Miz” to “Obnoxious, Annoying Miz.”

He says that means fans are 100-percent correct when they say he sucks. Another “You Suck!” chant breaks out. The New Day’s music hits to end the segment and Michael Cole on commentary informs us that Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz will take place in a rematch. On that note, we head to our first commercial break of the evening.

Miz applies the Figure Four in the middle of the ring as Big E and Morrison cheer their partners on. Fans try to rally for Kofi. Kofi finally gets the bottom rope to break the hold.

Kofi rolls to the floor for a breather. Miz comes out and brings him in after a shot. Miz and Big E have words now with Big E backing Miz up. Morrison runs over and leaps off the steel ring steps to drop Big E with a cannonball kick, then stands over him. From there, The Miz hits the ring again and takes advantage of the distraction. Firefly Fun House With WWE Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt

And now it’s everyone’s favorite time, as it’s time for a new edition of the Firefly Funhouse!

We see WWE Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt appear on the screen. He tells the Fun House camera to come closer and not be scared. He says he wants to tell us something and then says he loves everyone. That felt good, he says. Love is special but not everyone is capable of it. Wyatt says he’s looking at Daniel Bryan in this case. He says The Fiend feels the opposite of love for Bryan.

“The Fiend” says he can’t say he blames him because Bryan has been really naughty lately. Wyatt says Bryan will be in trouble at the Royal Rumble when he faces The Fiend. He says first The Fiend wanted to help Bryan, then change Bryan, now he wants to hurt Bryan because Bryan wants to take the Universal Title.

Ending this week’s Firefly Fun House segment, Wyatt waves goodbye. That does it as we head to another commercial break.

Let’s not forget about Rick. Whatevers in that cage, it can’t escape. It’s gotta be pretty terrifying, could it be scarier than Lana’s sex tape? Brock Lesnar thinks the roster is unworthy, he made that much clear. Well Brock it’s easy to hide behind that opinion, especially given the fact that you’re never here” as Elias stops strumming momentarily and the crowd replies, “Ohhh!” Elias continues, “How does Elias compare to someone like Brock. Unlike him he has a personality and I’m not afraid to talk. So when I beat him, I’ll show Brock the door, but when it comes to the Royal Rumble, I’m gonna show him what WWE stands for!” Thank you for walking with Elias.
